Michael earned his doctorate in performance psychology with an emphasis in exercise physiology and counseling psychology from the University of Kansas.  Under the direction of one of the world's top sport psychologists, Dr. David Cook, the sports psychology program was ranked by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) as the number one program in the nation.  During his tenure as the coveted Director of the Peak Performance Clinic at the University of Kansas, Michael worked closely with student-athletes and coaches alike to enhance their performance both on and off the playing field.  Michael has played an integral part in the development of many student-athletes who have gone on to become successful professional athletes in the NBA, NFL, MLB, ATP and WTA.  After Michael's service at the University of Kansas he went on to play an instrumental role in designing curriculum and launching one of the nation’s first accredited schools for personal trainers, The Professional Fitness Institute, where many of his former students have gone on to be leaders in the fitness industry.  Michael is also a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is certified in Pilates through Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI).
